Psalms 68: 19 - 20
19. Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah
20. Our God is the God of salvation; And to God the Lord belong escapes from death.

What is going on?

I've prayed, fasted, cried, done all I can. But it just seems like it's not coming.

Is there really anything that could work at this point?, You might say.

What can I do?

Is it a deadline? Or simply the end of the year? Or does time seem to be up?

Will this body ever carry a child?

Will my child finally turn to God?

I've been wrongly acused nothing seems to vindicate me?

It seems like it's all about to go under?!

Friend, I'm here to tell you God is working.

It's incredible how wrong things could be, yet even in the darkest of nights and deepest of valleys God is right there, working.

Ps 23:4
Even though I walk through the darkest valley I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

"If He's working, why can't I see it?" you might ask.

I once heard this testimony that really blessed me. There was a woman, she had been waiting on the Lord for a child for many years. She had tried as much as she could but to no avail. So, in the sadness of discouragement and exhaustion she asked her pastor friend why this was so and what could she do? He said they should pray, that God is able. They prayed and as the Lord would have it, she conceived for the first time. She was pregnant! Finally after so many years of waiting, she could carry a child.

A few months down the line, she lost the pregnancy.

Confused and destroyed, she asked her pastor friend once more, why this would happen? What really is the problem? Her pastor friend prayed with her and heard in his heart the Lord's response. He said, ask her if she has gotten pregnant before? He asked, and she responded No. Then it means I am working. She will receive the promise.

I am working. One of things we can learn from this testimony is that sometimes in our lives we experience a pattern of breakthrough. In this woman's case, she wasn't getting pregnant before but when she started praying, she got pregnant for the first time. Though she lost it, she had gained ground. She was now getting pregnant.

On the way to the promise, there will be milestones, watch out for those milestones. Have you been applying for a job and are yet to receive an offer letter? There was a time when nobody called you back right? But you kept pressing on, praying and believing God, and one day all of a sudden you got invitations for interviews. That is God working.

Sometimes it might not be the situation, but you changing. There was a time when you launched your business and it seemed it wasn't going anywhere. You couldn't get many customers and you kept praying. On the way to where you are now, you learned how to communicate and market yourself. All of a sudden you've picked up skills that you didn't know you could do. That is God helping you on your way to your breakthrough.

Heb 6: 12 says we receive the promise with faith and patient endurance. It is those who have faith and patient endurance that receive the prize. The enemy's goal is to slow you down because he knows that if the Lord has declared a thing he cannot stop it. His goal is to make you think God isn't good for His word. But I want to encourage you that God's word, once spoke has the capacity to execute what it was sent to accomplish.

The Word says in Heb 4:12, that the Word of God is living... I'd like you to place your hand on the left side of your chest. Do you feel your heartbeat? The consistent thud that signals life. Consistent and real, ever reliable. Working on it's own, not need to do anything about it. If you can feel that know that the Word of God is same. It is alive, with a heartbeat doing what it is supposed to do. Once spoken by God it doesn't return back until it accomplishes what it is sent to accomplish (Is 55: 10 - 13).

Friend, dare to believe God in the midst of the chaos. He's good for His Word.
